The Wedding Season

The Wedding Season

What a wonderful time of year:  school is out, summer is almost here, and wedding season is upon us!  It's so exciting to be a part of the wedding experience, working with brides to create their vision of floral wonder.  Today's reference of Pinterest, Wedding Wire and other sites truly add to the complete experience.  Trends seem to be leaning towards more of a "Bohemian" style that is organically eclectic with great sophistication.   Glam can be added to this in the form of colored wire, gems to set your day apart from others.

Here's some tips to make your day the best it can be:

1.  Be organized! Nothing worse than scattered thoughts all over the map.  Have files for each vendor, know what they are doing for you for the money, times of setup, meeting notes, etc.  With this said, don't over organize yourself to the point of craziness!

2.  Know what you want, yet allow your vendors to do their jobs.  Suggestions and interaction are of the utmost importance.

3.  Don't try to outdo your friends.  Do what YOU want and need (within your budget parameters).

4.  Stay within your budget, but be realistic about what things cost.  Don't squeeze your vendors for price, then expect the world.

5.  Again, allow your vendors to do their job.  Don't micromanage and be "Bridezilla".  That is a sure way for things to go wrong!

This day should be special while memorable.  Just keep in mind it's only 1 day out of your years of marriage.  While it's important, the rest of your life is what counts!
