It's such a fact of life that we all are born, live, and eventually pass on to the great beyond. Remembering those that have passed with beautiful flowers is a sentiment that has gone on for centuries and carries on to this day. Service types have changed over the years with many opting for cremation with a short service. With this said, flowers still have a major roll in these types of services.
Sympathy designs (today's term for "Funeral Flowers") have come a long way in the last ten years. Today's buyers crave designs that represent their loved ones in a way that is personal and caring. Many times I will add something that has meaning to the sender, such as a cowboy hat, garden trowel, rope, and such. These items are inserted into the sympathy piece, then removed after the service. These added items reflect on a wonderful life of the deceased; symbols of happy times for the remaining loved ones. I love creating these special designs. It allows me to be part of the journey, designing the final gifts for the parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle. I always welcome the family's suggestions and am diligent at creating the right piece that says "good bye, we will love you forever".....
